Shower, shave, exfoliate: making sure your skin is prime and prepped for smooth coverage
Avoid lotions the day of your tan. However, feel free to coat scabs, scars and extra dry patches with a little coconut oil or moisturizer
Note: Chemical Peels, Retin A and some medicines can effect your pH balance and the color of your tan. Avoid these practices at least a week before your appointment to prevent "orange"
Dress for the occasion...
Most clients prefer to NOT have tan lines. That being said, if being in the buff is uncomfortable, disposable bikinis or boxers are available upon request
If you decide to wear something of your own, make sure it's not your finest garments. Keep in mind tan solution has a hard time washing out of Lycra or Spandex materials
For the first few minutes it may feel like everything you touch will ruin your tan...Dark and loose fitting clothing is recommended attire. Avoid tight straps and clothing the first few hours while your tan is finishing its processing
Phiz Spa wants you to have a safe and enjoyable sunless experience. If you are prone to sensitivities we also have eye-wear, nose filters and lip protection available. For more information on sunless tan safety, please visit the FDA website
Make it last…
The active ingredient (DHA) can be working for up to 24 hours. It is recommended that you wait at least 8 hours before showering, swimming, or sweating
Once you have taken your first shower (just rinse, reduce the suds and over cleansing) you are welcome to apply lotions. This is highly encouraged, helping insure your tan fades evenly
